Fees & Billing
We are a mixed billing practice.
Fees are effective from 1 July 2026. Medicare rebates are based on current MBS rebates and may change.
Common weekday consultation fees
Most patients want to know the upfront fee, Medicare rebate and out-of-pocket cost. Common weekday consultation fees are shown below, with the full fee schedule further down the page.
Medicare rebate $45.05 · Gap $44.95
Medicare rebate $87.10 · Gap $72.90
Medicare rebate $128.35 · Gap $121.65
On weekdays only, bulk billing is available for patients with a valid Medicare card in the following groups:
- Pensioner Concession Cards and Health Care Cards
- Children under the age of 16
- DVA Gold Cards
We also bulk bill eligible preventive health services for all patients, including:
- Health Assessments, subject to eligibility

For privately billed consultations, payment is made on the day. Medicare rebates can usually be processed straight away or submitted online after your appointment.
Please note: Dr Kimberley Golding privately bills all consultations and does not bulk bill pensioners, Health Care Card holders, children, or DVA patients. Preventive health services such as Health Assessments, Chronic Disease Management Plans and Reviews, and influenza vaccinations will continue to be bulk billed where eligible. Payment and Medicare Rebates
We accept cash, debit cards, and credit cards for payment on the day.
A small surcharge applies to card payments to cover bank processing costs, in line with RBA requirements.
After your appointment, we can help you claim your Medicare rebate in one of two ways:
- Instant rebate, debit card only: We can process your rebate claim directly through our Tyro terminal using your debit card. Credit cards are not accepted for this method.
- Online rebate submission: We can submit your rebate claim electronically to Medicare for online assessment. This typically leads to a deposit in your Medicare-linked bank account within 48 hours.
Some less common procedures or appointment types may not be eligible for immediate rebate processing.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel an appointment, we ask that you give at least 2 hours' notice where possible so we can offer the appointment to another patient.
If you do not attend a scheduled appointment or cancel without enough notice, a cancellation fee may apply in line with our fee schedule. This fee must be paid in full before future appointments can be booked.
Prescriptions
For medication review or a new prescription, book an appointment through HotDoc, preferably with your usual GP.
For an existing regular medication, use a repeat-prescription request in HotDoc if that option is offered to you. A doctor may still require an appointment before prescribing.
Open HotDocRepeat requests are not suitable for urgent medication needs, new medicines, or controlled and high-risk medicines. Please plan ahead and book an appointment when required.
Referrals
New referrals require an appointment so your GP can assess the request and include current clinical information. Book through HotDoc, preferably with your usual GP.
If HotDoc offers you a supported repeat-referral request for an existing specialist and unchanged condition, you may use that option. Your GP may still require an appointment.
Open HotDocArrange referrals before the specialist appointment. Call reception if you are unsure which appointment or request is appropriate.
Results and Follow-Up
We will contact you if a result requires further action. If your doctor has asked you to discuss a result, book a follow-up appointment through HotDoc, preferably with your usual GP.
Call the practice if you are unsure whether a result has been received or what follow-up was requested. Reception staff cannot interpret results or provide medical advice.

After-Hours Care
For non-emergency medical needs outside our regular opening hours, we recommend contacting the National Home Doctor Service on 13 74 25. They provide after-hours medical care and can assist with urgent concerns that cannot wait until the practice reopens.
Emergency: If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 000 immediately or go to the nearest emergency department.
Home Visits
We usually recommend attending the practice, where we have the equipment needed to provide the best care. If attending the practice is not possible, home visits may be available for regular patients who live locally, at the doctor’s discretion.
Reminders
Our practice is committed to preventive health care, so we use a reminder system to let patients know about upcoming or overdue care, such as management plan reviews, diabetes reviews, and cervical screening.
Most reminders are sent electronically through HotDoc, but we may also contact you by letter or phone. If you do not wish to receive these reminders, please let our reception staff know.
Interpreter Services
Our doctors can access free interpreting services through TIS National for patients with a Medicare card. If you need help communicating in English, please contact us before your appointment so we can arrange a phone or on-site interpreter where available.
Privacy Policy
Our practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal health information. We work to keep your information secure and ensure it is only accessed by authorised team members when needed for your care and practice operations.
We may also use de-identified practice data to review and improve the quality of care we provide.
