Karina completed her Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Queensland in 2023 and was drawn to general practice through its strong focus on patient-centred, relationship-based care.
Through her clinical training, she gained experience across general surgery, mental health, midwifery, and community-based care, building skills in patient assessment, health education, wound care, immunisation, and collaborative team-based practice.
Her background includes placements at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Logan Hospital, and Logan Medical Clinic, where she developed a strong appreciation for the continuity of care that general practice can offer. She enjoys taking the time to support patients one-to-one and helping create a care experience that feels safe, practical, and reassuring.
